Office 14 is the name to the successor of Office 2007.
The alpha version has been released for testers earlier this week.One of the tester from a Russian website has leaked a few screenshots of the office 14.
While he didn't screenshot the apps individually, I do now know that the list includes: Access 14, Excel 14, Groove 14, InfoPath Designer 14, InfoPath Filler 14, InterConnect 14, OneNote 14, Outlook 14, PowerPoint 14, Project 14, Publisher 14, SharePoint Designer 14, Visio 14, and Word 14. The beta of Office 14 will start in May, and the final version is at the end of the year. The alpha is reportedly running with good stability, all things considered. Redmond is expected to provide official release details for Office 14 next quarter.

When activated, folks will be able to jump aboard the Internet bandwagon as long as they remain within range of AT&T’s wireless network. The offer is specially available in 4,400 RadioShack company-operated stores until Christmas Eve, while those outside continental US might have to settle for a different pricing structure.
Would you mind picking up the Acer Aspire One from AT&T in this way, or are you OK with a high-speed 3G modem sticking out from the back of your netbook on your travels? Sure, this is much easier to pack but you won’t be able to transfer the modem’s usefulness to other computers when you need to.
It appears that our friends from Apple have leaked some drool-worthy information on the net with their latest concept, the triBook.
Yes, I am also quite impressed at a screen that can fold out into three. These side screens are perfectly sandwiched in between the main display and the keyboard. Every time a user wants to use the triBook, he or she will unfold it like opening a cardboard box. A user also has the option of combining all three screens for a landscape display of about 21 inches.
An unfolded triBook measures at 6.75 x 10 inches, and it is about 1 inch thick. That may not be good enough to fit into a manila envelope like the MacBook Air, but I am willing to sacrifice the skinniness for that fold-out feature.
Not much is known about the triBook’s other features, other than it comes with a “kick-ass” hard drive (that is a direct quote from my source). It also has many I/O connectors, an 8x SuperDrive, plus a MacBook Pro-caliber CPU.
Right now, the triBook is just concept, but I could easily see it becoming the standard for laptops. After all, who wouldn’t want more real estate for their laptop screen? That alone is enough to convert me to a Mac user, and I’m sure a lot of people will also be Apple converts if this ever gets mass-marketed....
In its zeal to take over your living room, Microsoft announced the HP TouchSmart PC at the Gates keynote -- a desktop machine with a touchscreen interface designed to be an easy to use entertainment hub in the home. We caught wind of this unit back at the end of November, and the thing looks raring to kick the iMac's ass. It's coming loaded with a 19-inch touchscreen, AMD Turion 64 X2 dual core TL-52 processor, 2GB SDRAM, 320GB drive, NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600, WiFi, Bluetooth, integrated 1.3 megapixel camera, integrated FM and ATSC HDTV tuners, a DVD±RW / DVD-RAM burner with LightScribe, Pocket Media Drive bay, wireless keyboard, mouse, stylus, front media reader, and more ports than the Dutch coastline. The TouchSmart will of course be running Windows Vista and be available January 30 to coincide with Vista's street date.

Acer has introduced the Aspire One, a new Mobile Internet Device or MID. The company is offering a full software application suite and a battery of up to six hours.
The new product also comes with 802.11b/g Wi-Fi built-in. In its hardware specifications the Acer Aspire One has an 8.9-inch CrystalBrite LED backlit display with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels, an integrated webcam, is powered by an Intel Atom processor, Linux or Windows XP Home and will sport either 512MB or 1GB of RAM. Storage options include an 8 GB SSD or a 80 GB HDD.
